Ten members Will, Terry, Gabi, Johnson, Dean, Moses, Debbie, Dianne, Dwight & Kay, were off to Hilo on our 1st photography road trip.
Big Island’s Bruce Omori and Tom Kuali’i of Extreme Exposure were our guides for this 'E-Ticket' adventure.
We stopped at the 9.300 ft Ranger’s Station to rest then continued onto the 13,796 ft. summit.
It was cold and the air was thin, making it difficult to thimk and make kaLquelasonz.
The next morning we headed to the volcano and Kalapana.. Some of us got to sleep in the car, thanks to our drivers Bruce, Terry, and Dwight.
Volcanoes National Park was also COLD! Even the glow from
Halemaumau couldn't keep us warm.
Although it was a very tough schedule, I think this experience was worth the lack of sleep and sacrifices everyone made. It brought us closer together and I hope to see some images at our next print competition in November.
Thanks to everyone who travelled……Kay
